The Crucianelli company was founded in 1888 in Castelfidardo by Sante Crucianelli, a former partner of Paolo Soprani and also a pioneer of the regional accordion industry. Facing the crisis that hit the sector in the early 60′s the company diversified its business in guitar manufacturing following Oliviero Pigini’s example with his Don was an accordion player from Chicago whom became a distributor of musical instruments. He ordered these 1964 Crucianelli Elite 40-V Guitars from Italy & put his name on them & sold them in the USA. The Crown Accordion Company from Chicago was founded in the 1950s by Tony Serbellini (who had previously co-founded Imperial), Geramia Georgietti and Oswaldo Guerrini.
